I just got my plane's newly-reskinned and painted flaps back from the fine folks at Williams Airmotive. Hopefully my engine mount returns this week, with the freshly-overhauled engine itself soon to follow, new jugs and all. My mechanic should be back from Florida next week; we need to select and order an engine analyzer, as well as fabricate a new set of engine baffles. Then we get to put everything back together again. Hoping to be back in the air by mid-May.
My mechanic told me I was getting pretty good at taking my airplane apart; I replied that I've carved lots of Thanksgiving turkeys, but I've never been able to put one back together!
