It has been easily 10 weeks or so since I have been able to ride any further than down the Bagdad driveway because of this winters colder than normal winter. Too much ice and snow on the road that refused to melt because of the extreme cold temps. Well, today got the R12GS out and road to the Bearwallow. I didn't pass 10 cars the entire 150 mile ride and the bike felt like a young thorobred that has been given its rein. What a fantastic ride and the temps were in the low 60's bright sun with snow peeking thru the tall Fir Trees. The roads were perfectly clear smooth and clean. What a day...:eusa_clap: :).
I felt so good that when I got home, belive it or not I split a cord of firewood.
Sorry no pics, too much fun riding. :eusa_clap:

I am jealous of anyone who gets to ride at this time of year. I don't even have the GS insured at the moment, because it basically rains 5 days a week here from December until March. It's not the cold so much as the mud and the need to spend an hour cleaning the bike after each ride. It's also busy at work. Bu this is the time of year I start to anticipate the better weather and make plans for the summer, and your ride report makes me keen for the weather to turn.

...the bike felt like a young thorobred that has been given its rein...What a delightful description!
