The new V-Max may be more real than expected from the latest bike shows. On this page they are asking for design feedback.

I may be a little biased being a Yamaha MT-01 owner, but I think Yamaha is on top of the worldwide Japanese bike market right now. The Star motorcycle brand has some good ideas for cruisers with the aluminum frames and quality build. obviously the sport bike market has been helped by Rossi, the FJR is a very popular bike. This V-Max could be a huge success if they do some basic things right.

Done right, a new V-Max fits more with what a cruiser could be for me.

I'm not sure I like it...the pipes aren't bad..I like the air intakes...but the seat???...there seems to be no padding?...and what's with the headlight?

I don't like it. Seat and tail are very odd, and the front end seems lumpy.

The V-max's biggest downfalls has always been:
Tank size!
Handling
I would prefer this bike to be along the
lines of your MT-01 style ,
so that engine could be fully taken advantage of !:)

Friend of mine has one he purchased it last year
and wants to replace it with FZ1. He likes the V-max
,but it has its limits ! ( odviously if your riding it stock )

I am waiting to see the FZ-1 for 06. Performance and price could get me away from buying a KR.

BP...I found the current FZ-1 a bit cramped and couldn't get my knees to fit in..the new one will be no different.

No bike fits my as good as the K1200R...and my R1150R...:)
