I gave my then new Technics turntable to my musician son...along with his choice of any & all of my LP collection.
I don't think I could get them back...:028:

Dave,
I still have my HK and play my 78's all the time. Still think it's the best sound but everyone tells me I'm nuts. Well what's that got to do with anything????????????

DD, my guitar player son much prefers the old tube amps to any of the new stuff, he likes the "warmer" sound. Same with LPs. He says digital sound is too "pure & technical" sounding.
Oddly enough, I hear there is a strong resurgence of LPs now and some people are pressing them again!
I'm going to spend a couple of days at my son's house next week...I'll tell him an armed robber busted in and stole the Technics turntable and a huge stack of LPs!
Yeah, that's it...:028:

Still have my Technics turntable.
Unfortunately the Sony Receiver Amp I bought to work with the new TV and DVD player has no 'phono in' ports. :-(

Dave, tonite I am bringing Bill a antique Christmas present. It is an old Wah-fuzz pedal for Guitar. Ancient technology, mechanical linkage, ought to work well for Heavy Metal! It may need some solder, and TLC. It belonged to a friend odf mine, who is a phenominal guitarist. He gave it to Me, when he upgraded all of His sound equpment. If Bill doesnt want to use it, He can use it for a door stop, as it weighs as much as a Volkswagon!

Too cool Don...I'll be seeing Bill next week, he'll love it! I'll tell him I paid big bucks for it on eBay.
Bring back my refused, kicked to the curb present too, ya' wanker! You know, the truck step-up thingy...

Got it! I just soldered and heat shrinked the Pedal. It is a Sears-Roebuck Wah-Fuzz-Volume effects pedal, old, probably 1960's. It worked the last time I plugged it in. I think it once belonged to jimi Hendrix.......
