I thought about you guys yesterday. I used to race bicycles and I'm still a big fan of bicycle road racing. Yesterday they televised coverage of Paris - Roubaix on the OLN network. Man what an incredibly hard race that one is!
Anyway, what made me think of y'all, was the fact that many of the camera bikes were F650 GS's. If you know bicycle racing, then you know that what sets Paris - Roubaix apart is that a significant portion of the racing surface is paved with these square blocks of granite called pave'. Slicker'n eel poop when wet and bone jarring at all times. The guys on the GS's were handling it all with aplomb... and this with a camera operator either standing up behind the rider, or squirming around to hold the camera down at about 6" above the pavement for that dramatic "low angle shot".
