I've been to a couple of those Skills Under the Lights classes down at the MSF course in Chandler these past two months. STRONGLY recommended. I'm a huge believer in rider education AND refresher classes. The last two were on braking and cornering, next month's is on swerving. Yes, they go right back to the basics and might seem pretty remedial for experienced riders but I always pick up some little tip or technique I never knew before and I KNOW I come away the better for it. It meets the third Tuesday of the month. Check it out: http://www.motorcycletraining.com/site/index.php/Installing-MediaMogul.html

You never stop learning. When it comes to motorcycle safety, you can never have "too much" knowlege..

If recurrent training is good enough for airline pilots it should be good enough for motorcyclists too!
1st Box, I'm not familiar with the training you mentioned but it sounds great.
I've taken the MSF Experienced Rider Course a number of times and always learn something new, even after 53 years in the saddle...it keeps changing & getting better.
It's a great counter-measure for the natural consequences of aging...timing, reflexes, coordination, depth perception, etc. and it helps channel the thoughts that come from many, many years of doing this. And dealing in a positive manner with the loss of friends who've bit the big weenie becuase of the mistakes of themselves or others.
But don't let the training lessons become dogmatic...let them make you think!
Tell us more about the "Skills Under the Lights" thing...
