Neat! :eusa_clap:
Just what classifies a person as a fat and old man?
As one who is know to ride in a spirited and brisk pace from time to time- thats what I call it - I have on many occasions enjoyed the next stop - taking my helmet off to reveal the gray beard etc and have the crotch rocket wannabees mouths fall open, stoll over to the 50R and begin to ask Q's about the bike - not me - I guess that is safer for their ego's. Or at a stop for the night have another cruiser ask, "...where you from?" 'A little over 900 miles today...' - so I, like so many others, qualify for the 'old man' label.

Good story!
Reminds me of one of my favorite sayings:
"Never race an old racer...he may have one more gear than you."

Great story, Reserve, NM. is just down the road from Alpine, Az.(40 or so miles) some fablous mountain roads. I love riding with riders that like to have fun in the mountains and even more so if they think their s**t doesn't stink on their crotch rockets. I never take my helmet off until they catch up :) at the next rest stop.
It is so true what Darthrider says,
"Never race an old racer...he may have one more gear than you."

Reserve, New Mexico is an awesome place to live in. Sure, you must forgo the cosmopolitan amenities but the boondocks is right there and the roads are awesome without the accompanied traffic. Not to mention it's one of those few places where the community encourages the proliferation of ownership:eusa_clap:
My friend's family got a little place in Apache Creek (just outside of Reserve) and I love visiting that place.
