The weather this time of the year is fantastic up here. Mid to low 40's in the morning and hi 70's to low 80's during the day with no humidity....well 10 to 15%...:)

As soon as I turned onto Hwy 60 heading towards Springerville a guy flew past me on a shiney maroon new looking FJR....well couldn't let that stand. For the next 70 miles to Alpine the fun was on. In the long straights my R1200S was faster, I could pass him at will, not slam buy however. When we got to the twisties and sweepers it was another story alltogether. I had to slow down to keep him in sight. This R12S is the best handling bike I have ever had, love those Ohlins, no matter how far I lean the bike at what ever speed it is totally planted and stays where ever you want. Never had so much fun on a bike.

On the way back, was able to stop for at least one pic, to shows the leaves starting to turn at the highest elevations.

When my brother and I went to Bear Wallow after leaving your place we ordered "what Dean always gets". I can't really remember what it was but it was covered in chili and was great.

I love that! Does it mean you get a "Deans deal" at the Wallow as well as at SJ BMW?

Now THAT, boys and girls, is saying something for a guy with Dean's experience and history.
