Great news! You're getting a new BMW! You know that the engine, tranny and final drive units are painted and clear coated, right? Makes for very easy clean up. I love that feature. BUT, did you know that if a fuel line leaks, and this does happen more frequently than I can tell you, usually due to human error, the coating and paint finish will be permanently ruined? It'll become yellowed, and unsightly, so be careful whom you let work on your bike, and use caution when removing/reinstalling your fuel tank. Don't bother asking me how I know this. Enjoy your new bike! Ride it long and hard, 'cause it takes forever to break-in these metallurgically magical machines.
