I'm with DJ.
That thing's got PHOTOSHOP written all over it... And obviously by a guy named Rossifumi.
On the same forum they have this picture that is supposed to be the new R1200R, too:

And this one:

And this one:
http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/2105/bmwr1150r12copie9wq.jpg
(notice how the pipe, front fender, headlight, and instrument binnacle are all different from the pic Dean posted, but everything else is the same)
All interesting pics, and from some obviously creative and talented guys, but the site it was pulled from is nothing more than a French-Canadian version of Doug's ol' www.r1150r.net (http://www.r1150r.net) web board with a bunch of Canadian R1150R fanatics.
I dunno', though... Are you trying to tell us Dean that this is truly what a 2007 R1200R is going to look like?
Cheers!

Yeah. I like that pic, Dean.
Gimme the low pipe and the hard bags from the ST. The smaller expandables from the K1200R & S are more likely, I suppose.

Not bad.
And a US launch would be, when?

January/February/March of 2007. You can count on a 6 month delay between the official BMW release (September) and the US getting their DOT version.
Just an edumicated guesstimation.

Dean & Dallara
That bottom picture Dallara posted looks to me like the standard R1200R, Deans picture looks like the Rockster 1200R. Interesting thing about Dallara's picture is the exhaust can looks totally unique to me with that little piece on the top / end. I don't recall see thay anywhere else, looks like it would look good with or without bags.
Bottom line for me is both bikes look pretty good. I hope I don't regret passing up a R1200ST for the upcoming R1200R.

Is it just me, or do others think the "trellis frame" is just a little too prominent? Too much Ducati? Don't get me wrong, I love the looks of Ducati's (I've never ridden one), but I would hope BMW would be different. And the frame looks too Ducati-ish to me. Perhaps if it was blacked out or carried something other than the body colour?

I think it's the only way to keep the weight down....I'm not a big fan of it either.

Trellis frame is really the best (compromise) of both worlds - strength (using the engine as a stressed member) & light weight. Beaty in a very industrial/mechanical way. Ducati, KTM, and BMW can't be all wrong. I still think all the photoshop pics are good, but not "it".
I think "it" is going to make people take notice of the R1200R, and "it" will be good.
I like the (real) trellis as too... but in the diagram it looks a bit much...
