That was great, Ford model A engine, 200.5 CI and 40 HP, I had one.
So THAT"S how they work!! Who knew??? :)
I've got a 1989 era Kolher 20 hp flathead apart right now, it split a valve retainer on an intake valve. If it had been an overhead, it would've dropped the valve and I'd be looking for a new engine. But, since it's an opposed twin flathead , the valve just stayed open with no damage otherwise.
Thanks for the post Dave.

Brand new?
The Model A was lightly used but the Model T was brand new.

Pretty cool! Noticed he used one of the rare left-handed metric crescent wrenches to tighten the spark plug.
