Thanks Dean, I just want to keep in touch with him...and to ask him to post up once in a while.
I miss that Rocket Rider.:ricky:
Hey Guys. Hope everyone is well.
The K12S is still running strong, and approaching 30K miles.
Dave, sorry to hear about the 1150; what's a hall sensor anyway?
Have you guys seen the latest OTL? From commentary to photos, it has very quickly become a world class publication under Will's leadership.
Nice to also see the collage of Dean and his new steed in OTL as well!
Don, it seems even the lonely roads are getting a little more crowded these days...at least around here.

Hey Ed, good to hear from you.
30K on the K12S eh? Soon she'll be broken in!
The Hall effect sensor is the magic thingy that triggers the ignition pulse & times the ignition. Looks like it was probably taken out by residue from a failing alternator belt that was changed out on schedule a while back. Seems like it's always something, I had just installed a set of sparkling new Ohlins shocks that now sit there with a forlorn 600 miles on them. The bike is scheduled for major maintenance, repairs & upgrades next month. It has just under 50K miles and I need to keep it.
Have to agree on OTL...I don't see it regularly but Will is doing a great job with it. Did you see the April issue with the piece about the Texas guy with the old R51/3 & sidecar, and the high powered air rifles, etc.? Dan Peirce & I did that article to get a little Texas presence in the mag...can't have you Cali boys taking over the world!
I know you were interested in "Then Came Bronson" and Donson's replica bike...Peirce & I have a feature in the current issue of "Motorcycle Classics" about all that, it turned out well. If you haven't seen it you might pick up a copy.
Or get Don to send you one, he said he's bought 50(!) copies to autograph & distribute to his legions of new fans...talk about enjoying your "15 minutes"!
Take care Ed...and don't be a stranger!

Hey Ed, where You been, We have missed You! Dont be a stranger, We need some one with Your intelligence around to balance things out, as it were!
Dave... I really enjoyed your article in a previous issue of OTL, and looking forward to reading your other publications.
Dean, You are gathering quite a collection of bikes, now also with that beautiful R1200S. I have fond memories indeed of the ride you set up for me when that bike had only been ridden by a very select few.
Don, Just read through the Long Lonely thread...quite a tale of Birney (and you!).

Hi Ed, and welcome home. I always enjoyed your ride reports and, like the others, missed you.
Hey Si, my trips have been limited this year for various reasons, but have a few short trip tales to tell. Glad you enjoyed them.
Ok Dean, I can now confess, that smile came from the fact that R1200S wheelies like a Tuono! (But, it was in areas of no traffic, really... Now you be careful on that thing!)
