Bake... is that Kansas?

With my friends Bill and JoAnn, we know this little back road back to town. It's hardly worth mentioning, as its just 8 miles long and rarely traveled, but for a few minutes, we get to open them up and rock. This is Thunder Road, from Augusta, Kansas to Wichita. Riding with the right hand, shooting pics with the Fuji in the left.
Bill's bike is an ST1100 with Two Brothers pipe and K&N. JoAnn rides a Buell XB9R, also running the Buell performance pipe, aircleaner and a jet kit.
Bill is 62, JoAnn is 60. I'm the young pup at 52, on my R1150R. GPS says we were averaging 83.4 mph:

Bake, noticed in the third pic from the bottom some narrow cracks in the road on the left hand side. Got so dry here in Texas last summer that the cracks opened up quite a bit. One young lady I'm aware of got her front wheel caught in a road crack on a Ducati ST4. She low sided. Over all it appears the Texas roads are not in as good a shape as the ones you've pictured. Good for you. For that reason I really enjoy riding in Kansas and Western Iowa.

Consider that I was trying to not drop the Fuji, and trying to keep up, and the bike in front of me was pulling away on corner exits, and it's ridden by a 60 year old lady!:icon_redface:
