View Full Version : 186-hp Z-14 Shaft?
Anyone see the chatter in Cycle World about a 186-hp Z-14 Shaft with Hard bags?
Hmmm, seducing power, but does it have grace?
Big Papa... are you there? As I recall you were considering... comments please.
(I know, I know, for I am a bad boy with a continuously wandering eye.)

Hey Ed - I just read that article on the plane on my way home tonight. I think the bike would be awesome! And good on Kawi if they actually do it! If the ergos are not too ridiculous, this bike will bridge a lot of gaps - I may be one of the first in line.....
Bob... Geez... a regular Z-14 is only 474 lbs... coupled with 186 hp, 114 lb torque @ 7500, throw in a shaft... couple of hard bags... Price on (standard) Z-14 $12K.... Hmmm...

I have yet to see one in person. I like all that I have read and heard, but not to keen on the looks. I had a zx-10 many moons ago. I see the commercials often, and have read a bunch. After finally getting a ride on the KS, I am not sure if I could buy anything else. The ergos on the VH risered KS were so perfect for me, I think I'm hooked. The chain vs shaft isn't an issue w/ me. Also, I would like to see the update on the Hayabusa. I bought a new car a few weeks ago, so I promised my wife nothing else new til next year. I was actually excited about the 06 FZ-1 til I read all the reviews. I need low end torque, I am not a high reving rider. Maybe I will trade in my Rockster and Road Star for a HD Roadglide? :eusa_think:
Yeah, know what you mean Bill... not sure I like the looks either... seems with that much punch, they coulda done a better job on the skin. But maybe it looks better in person.
