Okay, Folks...

I may get in trouble for this, but I hope not. How would ya' like to see one of our very own Motorcyclist Cafe members EXPOSED?

No, not like that you filthy minded perverts... Geez! :eusa_naughty:

What I mean is, well... How would you like to see one of our very own members posed, in a national catalog, as though he truly were a fashion model? Ya' know... Kind of like the "Fabio of Fab Motorcycle Gear" or the like.

Well, if so, have I got a treat for you...

Just trot right down to your local *Biker* type shop - like a Harley-Davidson dealer, or maybe a Cruiser bike accessory shop. When ya; get there tell 'em you want to see their latest "River Road - Motorcycle Apparel, Boots, & Luggage" catalog. There's two H-D Biker looking dudes on the cover, with one of them sittin' on a big ol' dark green Ultra-type Glide Harley. Now, quickly turn to Page 13 and take a good look at the guy on the far right of the page in the sunglasses and the Doo-Rag.

That's one of our trusty, dusty members... Can you guess who?

Now, if you are having trouble locating one of these catalogs, you can go to this webpage:

http://www.riverroadgear.com/rrweb.nsf/Products/A12D635A9E252E4B86256DC90056B42B?opendocument

You'll see the same picture, just like this:

Only it won't be near so big, or make our fellow miscreant look as purdy... The catalog really does the ol' boy justice. Still, one of our own is now a famous fashion model.

Next thing ya' know he be too big a star for us scallywags here. Probably become a big Hollywood star and all... Probably see him in a movie one of these days called "Broke spoke Harley" or something like that. :118:

So, anybody guess who it is yet? :081: :081: :081: :081: :081:

Man... I ain't never knowed nobody done been in a catalog before!

Cheers!

Allan (Dallara - NACD)

Being that is Tucker Rocky, it has to be Dave the rider of Darth and Hoochie Mama.

Yup, that was me. How 'bout that swave & deboner nonchelant pose, huh boys? How do you like those chrome whiskers?
That shot was for the Biker's Choice (HD related division of Tucker Rocky Dist.) "River Road" line of black leather & textile apparel, luggage & accessories for the cruiser boys.

Those were location shots at Granbury, TX...you may have seen the pic of my black & red Norton in front of a hotel called "The Nutt House".

The images were used in magazine ads, our big catalog, smaller River Road catalogs, on a couple of our websites, a catalog and on a "ride-map" project.
There were actually two River Road catalogs...a dealer version with prices and bullet point descriptions, and a larger consumer version with retail prices and developed copy descriptions.

These were my first grass-roots catalog projects and were a lot of fun...being in the pics, researching the products, helping with the creative design and writing all the copy with "street talk" descriptions. This was the first time they had actually used a motorcycle rider to write a catalog. This is primarily for the HD market so we wanted it "real and edgy". Some of it caused a couple of minor strokes in the executive suite but that was half the fun!
