Hi All -
If you are not in Arizona, you may disregard, but I know we have a bunch of regulars as well as lurkers from out here in the desert.
We are having a little problem getting riders for the Arizona Ironman Triathlon this Sunday April 9. Unfortunately, the event conflicts with a track day and with several MSF classes, and these other events have cut in to the rider pool and as of yesterday, Moto Captain Jeff Dean communicated to me that we only have 27 confirmed moto operators. This is really getting down to a minimal level to support the race.
I know that at least one other board member has volunteered - but if any of the rest of you are available we could really use you. I did it last year and it was a blast - you got to be out on center stage among thousands of folks and meet a lot of real interesting people. You get gas money and a tee shirt and all the gatorade and powerbars you can eat.
If you are at all interested or if it is possible for you to attend we could really use you. There will be a pre-race meeting in Tempe Saturday morning followed by the race on Sunday. Info is at this link, or contact Jeff Dean or me directly:
