Hi
I am hoping that someone can assist me with a little knowledge regarding the shift linkage on my 2005 R1150R.
I have just fitted a footpeg lowering kit from Nippy Normans in UK. (Excellent service - 4 days from time of order to my doorstep halfway round the world)
the last step in the meagre instructions says "unscrew the lock nut on the adjusting device of the ball and socket joint pin. Remove the screwed end and screw in the lenghtening adaptor provided". See my image below. OK but remove the screwed end how? After backing off the nut I am unsure how the device can come apart.
Any assistance from the wiser heads in the Cafe is appreciated.

MRB, do you see the wire retainer at the ball end? I believe it goes through the ball retainer. You will have to twist it a little and should come out.

Martin, be very careful with the peg lowering kit as it will hit first when cornering fast. The Cafe's newest member Jabrooks wrecked his beautiful R1150R during a combination of spirited riding, a domed road and a decreasing radius turn, the lowered peg dug into the tarmack, lifted the rear wheel and the result was a low side.

Hi Dean
Thanks and I am aware of the decreased cornering clearance. I tend to ride VERY sedately and I will be carefull. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Jamais

So easy when you know what is actually there but very hard to sort when you don't know the clip or how it attaches. Done now and thanks for the help.
