I'm thinking about one for the 1150r. Wasn't sure how hard it would be.

Look over a AdvenRider. I have seen them many times. Just curoius why do you want one?

Depending on wind and riding speed I get between 130 and 180 miles before the low fuel light comes on. I'd like more than that. I don't like to be looking for gas stations every 2-3 hours.

Mr. Roboto -

I applaud and commend your spirit of innovation, but really, why don't you consider an RT - it will solve the wind and the range issue in one fell swoop!:)

Although a fuel cell is probably cheaper...

For me personally I think a piss bag would do more than an aux fuel tank to extend range...

That's the OTHER reason Aerostitch makes the Roadcrafter in that funky hi-viz color!

After all the money I spent on the roadster last year (aeroflow, handguards, PIAA's, Full size left case, Top Box, etc...) I'm going to need to ride the wheels off this puppy for the next two years or the wife may put my giblets in a vise. :D

Gravity feed to your other tank? You will have to place it high to do that.

In Ayer's book- on the Iron Butt/long distance riding - it is at home (cant recall exact name) - he has several pics, sources and commentary on supplimentary tanks. They mostly have aux pumps to transfer the fuel to the other tank.
