Kinda like San Jose to Sho Low Dean. Where i'm going is a beautiful place. The weather isn't as good but, the people and the "culture" is completely different. Lotsa family around and a lot of "small town" values.
You know what really struck me there...you walk down the street and people look you in the eye and say HI!
That doesn't happen around here much anymore.

I missed it, where in Illinois are you moving?
To the very southern part. A town called Murphysboro, just outside Carbondale. Just north of Tennesee in between Cape Girardeau Missouri and Paducah Kentucky.

Am I detecting just the *slightest* reluctance to sell this beauty now?
You never should have ridden it!

You know Dave...I just have to make sure it runs perfect before I sell it. I'm waiting for the Mikuni HSR jet kit I ordered to get all three circuits dialed in. These are the carbs for the performance runs. After I get them dialed in I will try some Mikuni Round slide carbs to evaluate the cruising capabilites of the setup. I'm gonna put a set of 34mm Mikuni's and a set of 38mm Mikuni's on it and get them tuned in. I'm setting it up to be able to do a complete carb change in about 30 minutes.
Gonna change the business name to "Carbs R Us" :icon_wink:
I haven't offered it for sale yet, I wanted to get everything perfect before I do...just shot a lot of beautiful Hi-res pics for another magazine feature this weekend. As soon as I have those two features in my pocket, I will probably put it up for sale.

Randy,
You know what is funny about cruiser style bikes? Everyone who looks at one that is beautiful will eventually think about "just one thing I might add...."
I love the look of the seat profile. I can imagine that in Ostrich. I know it sounds funky, but the bike is so smooth and the lines are perfect. Those little bumps are cool in just the right circumstances. Not a criticism, just one of those things that comes up whenever I see a custom or cruiser that has been modded.
More pics!!!

Hey Bones, I picked out the wrinkled leather and hand laces to break up the smooth lines of the bike. Your idea is good, too bad I didn't think of it when I had the seat made...mabey the next one. Here's one just for you...

Randy,
As I said..........that is ridiculous! Man, just perfect. That seat (now that I can see it up close) is great. That little oil temp guage, great touch. The clean handle bars with all chrome switch gear, fantastic. The lines are perfect.
Thanks for the pics!
Enjoy it. Labor of Love, for sure.

Hey Randy -
Your bike is so beautiful and so unique - can you give us two or three quotes from people who have approached you on the street and made a comment about it, along with what that person was like, for example:
"Tatoo'ed Harley-riding biker said......." and "BMWRT rider said...."
Your bike bridges some interesting gaps in our sport in a unique way and U would love to hear how the motorcycling public responds to it!

Bob,
While we wait for Randy's response, I will fill in.
Squid: "DUDE, that bike is AWESOME! I mean, like, it rocks my nads. Dude, like, will it do stoppies and shit? "
BMW Rider: "Excuse me sir. I have been admiring your motorcycle. I see that you have Mikuni carbuerators. How exactly have you jetted them? And might I ask if you have chosen to run standard or synthetic lubricants?"
Harley Rider: "Nice fuckin' sled."

That's why I bought a Triumph!

:046: :046: :046: You guys are too funny. Some of the comments have been:
"is that a Ural?" from a guy in an SUV
"Best Lookin BMW I've seen" from a guy in an Austin Healey
"good job Bro" from a guy on a Harley
" I just want to stare at it" from a hot blonde riding a 103" Screaming Eagle Fatboy at a gas station. I had my leather chaps on so...I THINK she was talkin about the bike
" I can't believe you did that to a BMW:076: " from a chick riding a BMW GS 1100 at a Harley hangout in the mountains.
A standing round of applause from the mechanics at my local BMW dealer!
" What the fuck is that?" from a lot of people

You could've done for the BMW cruiser what Arlen and son did for Victory cruiser.
You done good. Real good.
