DJ -

Thanks for the great photos - as always. The live race coverage from "down under" actually started at 2000 Saturday night here in the Western US - and followed on the heels of our college basketball "Final Four" tournament - making it one of the great sports TV Saturday nights of recent memory! Thank goodness for the Speed Channel, otherwise we would have no live coverage of the F1 races here, I'm sure.

It was a great race! I think they may have to rejigger the calendar again, though, to get some warmer weather in your fair country - after all, Malaysia and Bahrain always have good "tire-sticking" conditions.

One thing that got me about the Malaysian GP (I attended the first two races) was that in those early tears (00, 00) they ran the race late in the afternoon - it never rains that time of year before about 1500, so if they would have moved the rave up to earlier in the DAY they may have been able to avoid the rain that plagued the first years without affecting the rest of the "ex-Europe" schedule. I guess that for commercial reasons it was not practical to do that, and after all, F1 is an absolute money machine.
