Some heated grips and soft luggage and the Hayabusa wil take you and your loved one sport touring in the Alps. Buy the Beemer and she can go to a track day and watch you go round, and round, and round..

Hell they could have been Honda 90s for all you could tell. That and they were doing it on public streets. Sure gives motorcycling a good name doesn't it.

Isn't that in Kawait?

The new S1000RR BMW is the fastest motorcycle in box stock form out there.

I'm waiting until 2011 to pick up my S1000RR, by then BMW will have heated grips, cruise control, and a 3 piece luggage set as part of the "Touring" package .:)

I wonder if you are outrunning your headlights at 180mph?

I would say there is no headlight keeping up with a 180 mph, you are definatley outrunning your lights. I can not tell you how many times I have been suprised when racing at El Mirage or Bonneville on how fast a mile marker has come into vision and then in a blink was gone.

From a safety perspective, you are much less likely to be rear ended at 180 though, so that's good.

True, but more likely to rear end than be rear ended.

180 mph is 245 feet per second. Say it slowly, two-hundred-and-foty-five feet per second. Think about it.

I'd be careful buying a demo from that dealer. It's hard to wash all that stupid off a bike.
