OK, this site looks Fantastik, as my governor would say.
Lets get a list of forum headings.
They can be adjusted, I assume the software would let you tweak the name of an existing forum without losing content? If so we can come up with some forums & get them started & refine names as we go.
I'm thinking I would like to see a boxer forum, a great rides forum, a group rides forum, a faceplant forum (I do admit to reading Advrider's), an equipment forum, a community forum, NSFW (not the ideal name) forum and others.
DJ had a great suggestion on R1150R.org board, let people pretty much post in a main community forum, then when the post falls off the 1st page (or 2nd or 3rd) a/the moderator(s) would do some housecleaning to put it in the correct forum to keep the board organized. This lets the post recieve the widest exposure (a great thing), and lets the board stay organized over the long haul. I think DJ gets frustrated by putting alot of effort into his great ride reports with pictures, that I know from experience take him real time to put together, & then have them off in some far corner of the board that few view. DJ, along with most of us I suspect, does get personal satisfaction from having the posts widely read. At least until / if this board gets out of hand size wise, how much work can it be to organize the older pages? I would hope the board software makes it a pretty easy thing to move a post, and if its done after the post falls to say page 3, I don't think anyone cares.
What do you guys (any girls yet?) think?
