I want to collect, have been already, high resolution pictures of the R100RS.

If anyone has a R100RS, could you send me a piccie please? Email to hanseaAToptusnet.com.au

Left or right view, or any very good high res picture. Actually, any picture...I can sort thru the ones I want.

Any condition also...patina is good, maybe even damaged.

I have a small project in mind, using an online publishing program. I'm thinking of doing a glossy book for my own use, names would not be included, but locations could be. Pictures identifying locations even better.

I would be using the Momento program. Cost for me would run to about OZ $100 for 60 glossy pages. My wife did one of these books for a European holiday, and the product was great. I thought I'd try one for myself.

Cheers and Happy New Year from Oz.

Interesting project Steve. Good luck with it.

Great pics Doug. Over thirty years on that is still a hell of a good looking bike. Timeless elegance.

Steve, cool project!
I doubt these pics are of high enough quality for the project, but you can decide.

This is a 197-78 model (as I recall) and was a Belgian market model, brought to the US by a returning service man. Unusual sidecover stickers say "R100RS'ABC' or 'RBC', looks like.
It is a full resto-mod and is the correct, original colors.
It has several chassis mods (you can see the aluminum frame brace), and light engine mods...light wrist pins, mild head porting, mild compression bump, deep oil sump.
It belongs to my bud Kaptain Karl, AA pilot.
I did a few things on this bike like the polished valve covers.

You've seen these pics of my '84, another resto-mod, this one has a bit more done to the chassis & motor, and was the "inspiration" of the one above. It had higher compression, more radical port & flow job, full 40mm exhausts, etc.
Sidecovers say "R100SS"..hee-hee, take that Krauts!
Pics from new owner in East Texas. I really wish I had taken some good pics of this one, all I have are these and "snapshots".

Yup, the B&W shot and the second one was at the Pavilions long about Oct of '08. All the pics were part of my first foray with my new Nikon D90. I'll rummage around the hard drive and see if I have others of the R100RS which, by the way, is one motorcycle I've wanted for decades to own and never got around to buying.

Boxerboy, I'll e-mail the hi-res versions to your e-mail address or I think you can right click on the large version of the photos on Webshots and save them. I think I posted them at 300 dpi so they should print fine.

Below is a photo I spotted on AdvRider.com and saved. No idea who took the photo. I seem to recall that the bike was for sale and I was broke, a very unhappy convergence of situations!

Very unhappy indeed. What a beauty!

Steve, that lineup must be the biggest collection of 100RS's I've ever seen, or heard of. I asume it was in Holland somewhere?

The website is Dutch, so I guess so. R100RS of the month! Great concept.

Yeah, "Johnny Foreigner" seem to still be really into Boxers, air-heads especially.

When I go to France I always look at their magazine "Box-R-Mag". You wouldn't think they could fill a monthly magazine with just Boxers, but they do. Sadly my French is not good enough for me to read the articles, so I just look at the pictures..
As far as I can find out it's not available in English, a shame because there are several folks here who would enjoy it I'm sure.
