I've taken a few pics of my BMW Cruiser key...I think it's a great looking key.

Yeah, the R1200C cruiser key is very pretty. I've often wondered why BMW uses the butt ugly plastic keys that look like you can buy from Wally World for the rest of the bikes.:thumbs_down:

I had a key like that for a '98 Cruiser in the Ivory color, accented in blue pinstripe. I loved the bike, but it was a loser for BMW. To their credit though, BMW hung in there hoping the market place would accept it.

Before the collapse of the line, BMW larded it up with goofy plastic resulting in a genuine pig. I was told by a Frankfurt salesman that the bike was for American taste! I would accept that as no taste.

Mine could keep up with most of the guys in the twisties around Bandera, but of course I got dusted on the straights. But imagine, a cruiser with superb handling, ABS, and of course you didn't find one like it at every stop. I should have kept it because the resale sucks and frankly, for the resale value, no other cruiser comes close for its unique qualities, IMO.

Thanks guys...and Tipstall...yes you can order one from BMW..(about $20 I think)...yes it's only a key...but it is nice..IMO.

Be warned...it's heavy...and some have dropped it onto their tank and it's left a nice dent...:104:
