After I finished my build, a magazine in the UK (100% Biker) contacted me regarding a feature on my BMW powered custom. I took a bunch of pics and wrote a few lines. The issue was just published. Here is the result:

Randy,

That is awesome. I love watching OCC, (OK some of the fights get a little old). I have a funny offline story about OCC if we ever meet. Your craftsmanship is unreal.

I like looking at all bikes. Doesn't mean I want to ride a full blown track bike. I don't care what you ride or what you wear. I think your bike crosses so many lines.

Can't wait to see what is next.

Congratulations Randy.

Sure hope you remember us little folks once you get that TV series. If you don't have the requsite dysfunctional family, I'm sure we can dig up a few here to fill out the cast.

Thanks guys, my wife says that I'm "internationally published" now. If I could just get "nationally published" :028:

Randy,

I'm going to print this out on a high quality color pointer at work and post it on my bulletin board in my office. That bike is so cool! Great work.

That's great Randy...sometimes the "nationally published" magazines can be dicks.
Cool article, the bike is awesome and I would love to ride it. It must be fun to have a very familiar engine & driveline in such an unfamiliar chassis!

Last week at a local Triumph dealers' open house, a local chopper builder showed up with a *radical* new-age chopper that was all home-brewed except the brand new Rocket III engine! The bike was 75% finished. The bike was for a metric chopper build-off and was as secret as they could make it. The builder is 30 years old and is a hell of a designer & engineer. I'll post some pics on another thread.

Man, I admire what you guys do...

Thanks Dave, I'd like to see it. I just rode the bike tonight for the first time with the dual 45mm Mikuni HSR carbs on it. I followed Chris Hodgson's advice and put them on it. It took a couple of weeks to fit them to the motor but all I can say is...Wow. I think I'm getting all the power out of the motor now!!.
I will post some pics this weekend.
Randy

BTW, if you ever make it here...you are welcome to take it for a spin. I have to warn you though...The motor doesn't feel familiar at all with those new Mikunis on it!!

Randy,

Simply a wonderful article: well written and with great pictures to go along with it. Your resume is growing.

While I'm not a chopper guy, I can appreciate ingenuity and artistry; and this illustrates both.

"It's a fine line between tasteful and tacky..."

And you, sir, are on the right side of that line!

Additionally, your word processing skills only add to the package. We're proud of you, Randy.
