Well, the "Scrambled" battery gave up the ghost this weekend. Naturally, the local Triumph dealer wants and arm, a leg and a date with my first-born girl child for the repalcement.

Anyone have quantifiable experience with batteries to buy? Or with batteries to stay away from?

Dangerous, inside tips to share?

I purchased a replacement battery for my Scrambler at my local Rural King, a farm supply store for about $65. I'm sure any chain auto parts store will have a replacement for you in their small battery section also.

Thnaks, Randy. I've found a number of batteries that fit. From online to Batteries Plus to Culce Gear. But they are names I've never heard of so I've no idea about their longevity.

I'm a big fan of Odyssey batteries. I've put them in my last couple of bikes with excellent results. They will hold a charge for long periods of time and seem to outlast OEM batteries by a significant margin. Not necessarily the cheapest option though.
