Today I received a call from our infamous Randy "Rchop" Smith telling me of some action he took today to spice up his life! My first thought is man I have know this guy for along time and we are really good friends, but he has serious issues. I mean I thought had issues but over the last several years he has proven me wrong in every imaginable way.

To the average internet user logging onto to one of Randy's favorite forums he is a man of commitment, honor, and passion. A craftsmen a many skills that can not be matched by many men. A loving husband and a great friend. What you do not see is what I see behind the scenes in his day to day life and his search for that one thing missing in his life. What you do not see that I see is a confused man who can not make up his mind and often changes from one side to the other.

So fellow Cafe' members I come to you in need of your help for our friend, a fellow Cafe' brother, a fellow Peckerhead in more ways than one, and a man of passion and confusion. We need an intervention for Mr. Rchop! Will you help? Please let him know you are there for him in anyway possible as he needs all the help he can get.

We should start by letting the Mr. Rchop tell you of his problem and how it continued today. Randy? Care to tell the Cafe'?

Scott - Your friend, your brother, and here to help.

Oh no, JQ, I don't think anyone would consider that a problem. Maybe if you didn't have a second helping, it would be frowned upon!

This is actually worse on someone who has actually *had* the ribs at 17th St.

Cruel.

Dang, I was trying to lead the conversation away from my problem! I feel like I'm in a 12 step program and Scott's leading the group.

OK, OK Scott, here goes...

Hello everybody, my name is Randy Smith and I'm now a Buell Owner :yikes:

Good on ya!

An Xt may well be my next bike.

Well, that is if the economy turns around, my sister leaves me all her money and I win the lottery or just decide to not leave nuttin' to nobody...

Er... You already *were* a Buell owner. Yes, the fact that it's in pieces still counts!

In any case, hearty congratulations! Is the Scrambler still lurking about? Details! We must have details!

Rchop

I got it from a Dealer in the Dallas area. 2008 XB12Ss for only $6612. Now I just have to find a way to get it up here. I'm waiting for a quote from the shipper I used to send my race bike to Bob's BMW.

Yes, the Scrambler is still lurking about, but some lucky rider could steal it from me for $4995. Way below book value!

Randy, There is no help for your problem, and that's not a bad thing. I thought for a second there you crossed to the " other:ymca:" side. The motorcycle isn't a problem it's LIFE!!!!! Good on you and I expect you to bring it to Maxton so I can take it for a spin. As for shipping, I bet for a small fee paid in beer and ribs you could almost entice bro Dangerous Dave to ride it out and then fly him home??????

Randy, wow! Nice bike but that was not what I was speaking about.

You had mentioned about you getting into drag. I thought that racing a drag bike would be cool and you said no a different kind of drag. I asked what you were talking about and you said think runways, big hair, and tucking. I instantly thought LSR because runway and tucking was mentioned; however, I was a little thrown off about the big hair thing. This is when you said think Rue Paul.......I hung up and started writting to get help for an intervention.

So, there you have it folks Randy wants to get into drag. Please help me help him, friends don't let friends tuck.

Nice bike by the way.

Scott

I like it! :023: It was a toss up for me between a left over Buell STT (same basic bike as XB12S) or the 919. Since I'm cheap, and so was the 919, (and the Honda was close to home) I've got the Honda instead of the Buell.

Leave that bad boy with one of the guys in the Dallas area and pick it up in Oct, ride the Big Bend ride, then head home.:pot:

I'm sorry to say that, instead of helping Randy get over his unfortunate addiction, I have become an "enabler"...

Too bad boys, but I'll get my hands on that Bad Azzz Buell before any of you, even poor Randy! As tempting as it is to just make it to Dallas (360 miles) and ride Eric Buell's creation to Murphysboro (800 miles), that just wouldn't be right so I'm taking the Dakota instead and will be truckin'...

Donson - want to go?

...you said think Rue Paul

Ah, so that's a Bue(ll) Paul you'll be riding - not that there's anything wrong with that in New York or LA..

Who'd have guessed? Man, no wonder you're not up for another V-Rod.

If you want to make vroooom-vrooom noises that is ok, but no rooooom-rooooom noises that would sound to much like a desperate hooker wanting to take your money.

Well I was going to make a comment on how I cannot take a motorcycle manufacturerer seriously who uses (used) translucent plastic on the "gas" tank of a bike. But apparently to do so might make me appear to be a contrarian, a retard, jealous, or all of the above!

Congrats Randy! Enjoy my good man!

I'd think at Randy's age, Rue McClanahan would be more appropriate than Ru Paul...:remybussi:

Gord, that translucent plastic will soon become carbon fiber if I can find it...may have to make it. Not an impossible task for a ex surfboard maker.

Jeremy, what are you trying to say :gerg:

That Buell is clean as a Safeway Chitlin! Very nice,I'm jealous...I was going thru some drawers and found a stack of dealers brochures, pics(and 8 recall notices) for My 98 M2 Cyclone. It was such a fun bike, wish I had kept it.

Congrats Randy, although I must confess to wondering where this post was going when Scott started it. At first it looked as though you were going in to "bat for the other side", but it turned out to be so much worse..

Congrats Randy. The Buell has tons of personality and has good looks to boot, I miss my XB12R. When I get my knee fixed I'll get another but keep the GS.
