A ride in Mexico ending in Big Bend….We will ride across Mexico starting at the Hand pulled ferry on the Rio Grande near McAllen – The ride will venture south through the Canyons near Horse Tail Falls – close to Monterrey- then on to Salltio where we will overnight. Following will be to Parrras and the winery- then to Durango. The following day will be spent riding the Devils Back Bone – 3000 curves in less than 90 miles at an altitude of 8,000 feet.
From Mazatlan we will do the 16 hour ferry ride to Baja – La Paz an continue to Cabo San Lucas where we will spend 2 nights. From there it will all be north bound across Baja. If our luck holds out we will get to the Motorcycle Bed B in time to leave for Big Bend.

Bill,

When are you leaving on this adventure, and is it open to tag-alongs? I'm trying hard (with little luck) to rearrange my schedule to attend the Big Bend ride... maybe this added incentive will help me work a bit harder...

Frenchy, you are in for a treat when you meet Bill...what a character!
I'll see you in Big Bend. If you need a place to flop on the way down or back...well, you know where I live!
LewisRT is also getting up a group of the BB riders to ride the Texas Hill Country for a few days, right after Big Bend. Try to do that too while you're here, you'll love it (It's nothing like Abilene!)

Dave,

I'm working on going to the BB ride, but honestly, it's not looking good... Work work work... in the way of fun, as usual.

But then I read about this Mexico/Baja pre-ride, and I think it might just be the added incentive I need to get my stupid priorities back in line.

If not, there's always next year...
