Do you remember the cartoon?

Not that I recall.

Research shows it was on in 1949 in L. A. and on paramount network 1950 to 1955. I don't remember watching it.

I remember Beanie & Cecil as a puppet show, (with Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent, right?) Was it aired only locally in LA? One of my earliest TV memories.

Nope. Kansas City showed them too. So it must have been national.

FWIW, I kept a slide rule in its case hanging on my office wall until about two years ago. The newly minted engineering grads would come by to see what one of those looked like.

Just got one with my father's belongings. I remember him using it 50 years ago.

I remember being on a local Kiddie Show at KMID studio ,Midland Texas, for My 5th birthday(I am 53:icon_cry:0)Eddie Platt, who played The Chief,on Get Smart, was the host. All the kids who had birthdays on that day got cake, cookies, etc. They showed cartoons, and Beanie and Cecil was the featured cartoon on that big day in My life. That syndicated cartoon was seen Nation-wide.I believe Fireball XL-5 was the second feature-Way-Cool for a 5 year-old!:eusa_clap:
