This looks like this is the right place to say hello and introduce myself.
I came here by way of Frenchy who posted on my home forum pashnit.com (http://www.pashnit.com/forum/index.php?) about his wonderful ride and stay at the Motorcyclist Cafe Bunkhouse and Barn. He spoke so highly of the experience on his way to Wrestlemania that his joy spread and now I too feel I NEED to come your way!:eusa_clap:
Ok...so, now, who the heck am i? I am demenshea aka donna in real life. I am an avid motorcyclist and tourer. I began riding later in my years and though I have only been riding 4 years I have ridden over 75K. I do most of my riding solo, but when his job allows, my husband tries to join me. We have been trying to tour your state. Two years ago, Gary, my husband, had a job down in Mesa, so we both flew in and rented bikes and toured as much as we could over a weekend, which needless to say wasn't much.
So, maybe this is the year!
I have a website/blog dedicated to riding and riders. Ride Like a Girl (http://demenshea.com/blog/)
If you get a chance drop by...all my ride reports and photos live there as well as my daily blog and don't hesitate to comment if you have something to add.
I hope to meet some of you in the future and look forward to touring your neck of the desert! I definitely plan on meeting Dean and Pam! :webers:
Cheers,
d

Thanks for the greetings everyone, it's nice to be here!
It doesn't seem like the place needs much of a woman's touch. Its looking pretty slick!!
I am enjoying my cuppa joe and a morning read right now and looking outside at the sunshine, finally!! I am feeling the need to start the steed, now, if only the passes were open. :eusa_drool:

Donna, this is Dean on Daves computer.
Welcome to the "Cafe"
As a member of our august little group, you and your husband are welcome up here.
Pam and I are still figuring out how to operate the MC B&B. It is not a commercial bed and breakfast, but instead it in a sense belongs to members of our little group. When people visit and stay over nite or nites, as it were, they donate to the cause. This helps us keep the place stocked with the necessities of life..............
Looking foward to your visit.

Thanks Dean, I'll keep in touch via the board and let you in on the planning. I have a woman friend in Gilbert who keeps saying to come on down, since the weather is perfect!
The MC B&B sounds a perfect and noble cause and I look forward to a visit there! THANKS!
U are off the grid, but with solar power so I assume you have a computer as well. Damn, I wanna be you. We are in the middle of Sacramento, u know the broke state, and both currently out of work. It's an odd thang with one kid in college but we are trying to make the most of our time. I do free lance work anyhow, which is much like being unemployed! :velvt: (somehow this seemed appropriate) Gary is certain this won't last long for him. He had an interview the other day, but seems competition is high and jobs scarce. He is a project manager for voice over IP systems so the area is pretty specialized.
In the meantime, we plan on getting some riding in together!
Welcome to the Cafe' Donna, pull up a chair and have a cuppa joe.
Opps you already did that. :eusa_clap: :eusa_clap:

Hello Donna,
Welcome from the low country of South Carolina. Glad to have you on board. Looking forward to your post as we live through each other's rides. I met Frenchy and his merry band on a ride last year. Good people one and all.
