I have three calenders in my shed. None of them current. I have a "Classic Bike" calender from 2001. It earns it's place by having some of the best shots of (among others) BSA's Goldie and Norton's Dommie. Next to it is a Valentino Rossi one that used to hang in my daughters bedroom, again stunning photo's of the greatest rider ever means it will stay put. Lastly, there's a "Pink Way Round" one from 2007. This is a charity effort from a bunch of female GS riders made and sold to raise money for Breast Cancer research.

There's room for a traditional "Girly" one too. All I need to do is find one worth having.

Cheers,
Si.

What about the one the "Calendar Girls" made?

Those Pirelli calendars should be labeled "Night of the Living Dead Girls Go Wild on Safari!"

Unfortunately my shop walls are full to overflowing with pics, posters & memorabilia of racing, motorcycles, and a few cars & airplanes...no room for the girlies. Hey, life is all about choices, right?

I do have a b-i-g roll of girlie posters from the late 60s to the early 80s that Ed Mabry gave me. There is an original Farah Fawcett poster (you know the one), Morgana the Kissing Bandit, a near life-size one of Steve about to jump the German Army "Triumph" (OK, not a girlie poster, but cool), Dallas Cheerleaders and a bunch more. These will be going on eBay and other selling venues when I get my little retirement business, "Moto Memories", off the ground soon.
Oh, I also have a couple of vintage Snap-On clocks with pics of some tasty "mechanics", about 12" X 24" I guess. I may have to make room in the shop for one of those, at least until they go on the block.

I subscribe to SuperBike magazine. Pricey for those of us in the colonies. But well worth it. The monthly centrefold of girl and bike is either tasteful or marginally slutty, and more frequently both. Their Babes & Bike calendar is usually well done. Out of deference to my lovely daughters and wife, I don't hang it my calendar in my garage (which they frequently use), but it is in my office (which is my "free" territory).

In my shop, wall space is at a premium because of the "thru the years" racing and MC photos and memorabilia from 45 years riding. My woman is sexier than any of the air brushed, anorexic, teen aged "never seen on the sidewalk" girlie calendar females. Oh, there was a time...but my taste has moved toward more mature women, like 35 years up till they stop looking female.

I do have a poster from an art exhibit by one recently deceased master named Wyeth. It's an other worldly painting of the love of his life, Helga, seated before an old window, naked, lit by the magical afternoon sun. It's breathtaking.

If I was going to have a calendar in my shop, it's be the Garage Girls job. Something sexy about a slightly dirty girl, surrounded by tools and machinery.

Come to think about it, she could be hanging off the back of the garbage truck as far as I'm concerned.
