Troy Corser wins race against 4 BMW's

This was today at Phillip Island....

We have the Commonwealth Games starting soon in Melbourne (it's like the Olympics without the US and has a baton instead of a torch)..Troy took it around the track.

...... wins race one, after Bayliss had a 6 sec lead whittled away due to tyre wear.
BUT....
I just caught a snippet on the radio...I may be wrong here and hope so...Corser fighting for life after fall...:icon_cry:

I'll try an validate this one way or the other asap.

edit: the pre news quick grab shows Corser falling and tumbling, but the text caption was "Corser's amazing escape". I guess that means he's OK.
edit#2: Corser came off, in front of the others, and Barros hit him in the back. He managed to get off the track and was air lifted to hospital. The news item said it was more precautionary. I think the initial radio bit I heard might have said "scrambling" instead of fighting.

Boxerboy...I've not said anything because the yanks often get a delayed telecast...but Troy Corser is ok...he did fall..a highside in front of the pack..other riders swerved..Barros ran straight over him..hitting him in the head and hooking his footpeg on his back hump and flicked him around like a rag doll..he looked up to see more riders coming straight at him and did a diving sumersalt off to the safty of the grass...:icon_eek:... (I would give him 8.5 out of 10 for distance and 9 out of 10 for presentation)...:003: ...Barros said after that he lost concentration after this and was very worried about Troy because he knew he had hit him in the head.

Troy has been given the ok by the track doctor....geees how lucky is that..:023:

Both races are decided on the last lap...both races had me on the edge of my seat...Go Aussies!
