So, what are you birds paying for gas around the country and around the world?
Here in Texas Canyon Country we're paying $1.739/Gal. as of today.

Think I'll sell the Vespa and buy a Hog.

I've seen $1.85.9. Who'd have thought I'd be yelling whoopee for gas near $2. But I AM!!!

I worked it out we pay approx 93 pence per litre

a US gallon = 0.83 of a UK gallon

There are 4.543 litres per UK gallon

So doing the maths

A US gallon = 3.77 litres

x 0.83 = 3.13 GBP works out

3.13 GBP

= 4.61138 USD Per US Gallon

United Kingdom Pounds United States Dollars
1 GBP = 1.47328 USD 1 USD = 0.678755 GBP

Our prices fluctuate during the week.

They always go up 8-15cents per litre Wednesday evenings, only to come down Sunday.

On average we're about OZ$1.15 per litre for ron 91 unleaded. ron98 add 10 cents.

So 1.15 x 3.8 = OZ$4.47 per US gallon, close to US$2.80 per gallon.

I'd be all for a national gas tax that keeps it at $5/gal

Regular gas here in Barrie Ontario is C$0.783 per litre. As Jaythro has indicated, 1 US gallon = 3.77 litres which is C$2.95 per gallon. At an exchange rate of US$0.7779, a gallon of regular gas here in Barrie, Ontario is US$2.29. I swear I saw gasoline in KC for $1.43 last week.

Opie just for you, Betty & decided to go Thanksgiving camping for a week. We'll be pulling our camp trailer with my V-8 truck, and my KLR will be riding on the platform at the front of the trailer. That way we can burn that cheap gas *all* the time!
Just kidding...we'll go real slow.

You will recognize the little rocket on the platform, from this camping trip...

I thought maybe you'd gotten another one at first. I wouldn't blame you, that's for sure.

I wish I lived near Will with a scoot like that. :webers: Totally wasted on straight roads.

I saw $1.69/gal today, and I heard a few places around the area were at $1.63/gal.

I paid $1.72/gal when I filled up last night.

$2.09 down the street, but closer to mom & dad's it's been about $1.97 the past few days.

I have to fill up my truck too. I can't believe I'll be filling up for less than $100.

I can't believe I just wrote that last sentence.

I was driving to work before light this morning, and coming to an intersection with a few businesses in this rural/suburban type area I observed the new digital lighted gas sign at the Chevron station said $1.80 for regular. I looked up to make sure I wasn't running a red light as I progressed through the intersection, then as I looked back at the sign it had changed to $1.78 just that fast.

It's down to $1.35 in town and I'm hearing talk of below $1.00 per gallon prices soon!
Where is my Tri-Power GTO when I need her?

But to make up for it, it's 28F. and light blowing snow...yuk. If it's going to snow, let's see some SNOW!

What are you guys paying now?

When prices get too low for the Saudis, they'll cease production, and prices will go up again. Unbelievable what they're doing to increase production in their desert oil fields. Unbelievable wealth. Gas is $2.40 in my town, the highest prices in the US, usually. But I'm happy with it. Don't get used to it, though. Burn it while you can. The US is the largest customer of the Saudis, by the way. They have no interest in helping us develope alternative energy, but they are spending billions so they can sell electricity from their new photovoltaic grid in the desert. The future is bright for the house of Saud, where thievery is met with the loss of a hand.

Hobbes had a cheap lunch today: I think I paid around $1.78 a gallon for premium.
