While ordering "Zen & the art of motorcycle maintenance" from Amazon I couldn't help but check out the other mc books. I ended up also getting "Adventure motorcycling handbook", and "Mi Moto Fidel".

The book "BMW GS adventure motorcycle" will be next.

If you like a good adventure tale, you should check out "Lois on the loose" by Lois Price. She gave up her nice steady job at the BBC in London and set off on a motorcycle adventure..

This is Lois changing a clutch on her Yamaha somewhere in South America.

Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance.
Wonderful book. I still have the first copy I bought. Its a bit dog eared and worn now. Its a book I can and do read over and over and still pickup new things.

It's one of my favorites too Roger! Pirsig has quite a way of bringing the reader along on his trip. There aren't too many people who develop a thought to that degree and have the ability to transmit it on a level most readers can grasp it.

I'm reading Lila right now, Pirsig's second book. Depending on traffic and what elese is goign on, I might have it read by the time the trip is over!

Let us know how the other books you ordered are!

Si- I was looking at Lois on the loose. It sounded very interesting to me, and it's good to hear that someone whose opinion I trust likes it! I'll probably pick up a copy at some point (after I get through the Triumph readin material you suggested, the Jupiter books, and Proficient Motorcycling *again*).
