"I wish I had the Brough Superior SS100!"
I wonder if you (or anyone) would want one after they rode it a while? Now to look at - GREAT!
I've ridden them - well I rode one. :icon_redface: If I had the chance to buy a SS100 or a new BMW - both for the same price, and the only caveat was that it had to be my only transportation for the next year or so . . . BMW here I come. :eusa_clap:
But they sure are pretty . . .

Too true. The same can be said for all the "Classics" that we all remember so fondly. The early Brit stuff with their leaky, vibrating engines (did handle well though - some of them anyway) through to the later Italians with their crappy electrics. The early Jap stuff, although a huge improvement on what went before were still, by todays standards, crude and clunky. Let's not forget the BMW's either, the airheads used to have a German nickname that translated as "Rubber Cow".
I've said it before, the "Golden Age" of motorcycles is right now. Let's enjoy it while we can.
Si.

No delusions here about Broughs...or any other old bikes. Losing delusions fast about some modern bikes too, but that's another story.
I rode an 800 Brough once. They are no longer for transportation.
Besides, you can get killed on the damn things, just ask Lawrence!
