Now this could really be SOMETHING!

Every now and then science and technology comes along with something that really could greatly enhance our lives as motorcyclists. The possibilities for this stuff are mind boggling, and those potentials reach far, far beyond what I guess anybody has even imagined yet...

Take a look here:

Someone posted a link a while back on the other board about helmets being made out of this stuff. It all sounds kind of robocopsih to me, but it will certainly make gear thinner and lighter if it evolves.

If you think about it carefully.....it could replace Viagra.

Told you there were gonna' be a ton of potential uses for the stuff...

But given the properties of the stuff I wonder how hard and how fast you have to keep bangin' away to keep it hard...

Cheers!

I don't know...I think it's all a bit suss.

With that suit on do you think you could get a hammer and hit yourself in the knee with it and would it harden in time to protect your knee.?

When a skier is hitting gates on a slalom run the areas that hit the poles would become hard and protect..that's cool.

If you fell and slid on the snow or ice the contact area would become hard and protect..that's also cool.

Motorcycle armor protects right from the initial hit..and it's that hit that you need the most protection.

Maybe I don't fully understand the concept here..but I'll pass..for now.
