Welcome, Diesel Dog!

Hey, fellow Peckerheads!

Please help me give a big, warm welcome to a new member who is a dear friend of mine - Diesel Dog!

Some of you here (Dean, Acacia, Moose, etc.) will remember Diesel Dog from the 2005 Fall Big Bend ride... He was the guy going far faster than recommended on a Harley-Davidson Road King - Dave Mock.

For those of you who don't know him, Dave is a former MX and Enduro off-road racer originally from Beeville, TX who later lived in Corpus Christi, TX for a long time (which is when I met him), and now he lives in San Antonio. If any of you are in the San Antonio area I can promise you one thing - Dave is ALWAYS up for a ride, and I do mean always. He also possesses those three laudable qualities that are always appreciated on any ride:

1.) He is always on time at a designated meeting point.
2.) He is game for anything and always in a good mood.
3.) He is definitely NOT one of those people who seem to have "fish hooks in their pockets", if you know what I mean...

So, it is definitely my pleasure to WELCOME Diesel Dog into our rag-tag assemblage of misfits!

Great to have to on board!

I can say he rides that King well - as well as it will let him - I had the pleasure - I am not sure that is the right word, of riding behind him down some of the Davis mountains twisties watching him fight that twitching machine at its limits and glad it was not me on it! I could read his body language and it seemd to indicate a high level of the puckker factor was at play. I recall him quietly saying at the next stop at which we were waiting for him that he was probaly going a little too fast!

He is great company!

Welcome Dave #2. You were definitely able to get 12 tenths out of that Hardly Ableson. Looking foward to seeing you again.
