BP - Supercool!

Victory finally got a used K12S in with less than 2K miles on it but they STILL won't let me ride it - evn though it's used!

Where's the bike - is it at Vicotry? If it is, Jamming, Harry (GPM), Dean-O, and I can all rub it for good luck on Thursday morning when we meet up there.

Congrats!

Bill, you're such a slut.

What happened to the new Kawi??

What about the K1200R??

I hear the new Hayabusa is due soon.

A few horsepower, a pretty face, and away you go. That poor green Rockster is going to be pissed.

But I gotta admit, you look good on that K12S.

CONGRADULATIONS BP

The K1200S is without a doubt the nicest most refined bike that I have ever ridden.

Your bike two up running 169 at Bonneville, box stock, by the way.

Due: Full ride report.
Congrats.
There really is something about getting a new bike and learning its personality over that first 1500 miles.

Enjoy.

Bill,

Please remember your daughter and be a little easy on the throttle for awhile.:028: Nuff said.:028:

PS You do look like you were made for that machine. Or perhaps it is the reverse?:eusa_clap:

We had business in Tucson, so I threw my gear in the car just in case. After lunch, we went to Ironhorse and I was sitting on the bikes and the salesguy said too bad you don't have your gear, you could take the bike out for a spin. Cha ching! I told him about my gear in the trunk and he pushed the bike out of the shop. 40 minutes, no escort!

The bike seems Hayabusa fast, but in a way smoother and more refined way. This bike had ABS (yuk), but it didn't seem intrusive, no ESA. It was a 1000 mile 2005. The first thing I noticed was that I didn't have a hard time getting my feet up on the pegs, and no crampedness in the knees. The 'busa had a short distance between butt and pegs for me. Also this bike was fitted w/ MV bar risers, very comfy. I was really leaning towards the KR, but after much reading, I learned between adding a bellypan and slightly taller WS, I might as well look at the S money wise. With the bar risers, I really wouldn't do much else to the bike. Maybe a Sargent seat. I loved the sound of the can, quiet, but louder when getting on it hard. The smooth acceleration, was intoxicating. Although there was much traffic in the Tucson city, I mananged a +100 blast in a blink.

I won't buy a demo, plus this bike had ABS. They were dropping the sticker price a bunch. I told them in April I will be ready to buy. I am gonna wait for a hard to find no ABS, ESA, S.

I have to thank my wife for waiting in the shop, for me to ride. Also for giving my the thumbs up on the purchase this Spring.

Congrats BP! :eusa_clap:

If I had to do it over, I'd opt for the KS over the KR. Keep your ROC though...
