This is quoted from a friend on the KLR forum. The subject was using "old school" techniques for trail-side repairs. In this case, it was using a spoonfull of black pepper to temporarily fix a radiator leak.
My friend said:
"I had a buddy in high school recommend black pepper for a particularly nasty wound after a high speed dirttrack get-off. Plus he said, If you die you will already be seasoned and ready for grilling."
