Just some heads-up. It's at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay from 10am-4pm. It's supposed to be the "Pebble Beach" of motorcycle concourses. Tickets are $50 online until midnight tonight (May 1st), otherwise $65 at the event. This year's featured marques are MV Agusta and Norton...

Thanks, fellas. Scott- that was the only pic I got of the green streamliner. So many bikes I didn't even take one pic of!

I just love that old MV racer. No, not Ago, (although I was, and am, a fan..) the red 500 with it's big front drum brake. Lovely!

Thanks for bringing us shut ins along for the rarified air of the posh middle coast. Great pics. Motorcycles are art. What lens for the close ups?
You should get out more, since we enjoy your photo treks so much.

Happy to oblige... I brought along my macro lens, the 105mm f/2.8 AF Micro. Got it used from KEH, but rarely use it. About half the pics came from it, and I'm quite pleased with it.

Just found out they canceled the 2009 show. Their website says it's postponed until 2010. I'm bummin'.

It has been replaced by "The Quail Motorcycle Gathering" at the Quail Lodge, May 9th. It is there with "some" car event... We are entering our 750 Cafe - Bonneville record holder.
