Today was a little unusual here. Winter storm warnings were broadcast so I decided to go over to the construction site and pound stakes to mark the driveway. Tomorrow I will plow the snow for the contractor and come back to work in the shop on the Road Glide.
I have all the parts for the Stage one upgrade plus my wide band O2 sensors and controllers came in.

The shop is a little crowded right now. I can't wait to get into the new shop!

The mufflers and aircleaner took about an hour to install. The bike has a low throaty sound without being to loud now. The throttle response seems more positive, but I won't really be able to tell until I get it on the road.
I decided to start the O2 sensor/controller upgrade since it will be a couple of days until the roads are clear.
I will be replacing the narrow band OEM O2 sensors with wide band sensors and an Innovate LC-1 controller on each sensor. I have programmed the LC-1 to tell the ECU the A/F mixture is the stock 14.7 while it is actually a cooler 13.2 With this addition, I can keep the engine running much cooler without having to install an expensive Race-Tuner. This will also eliminate any stumbling on throttle roll on due to the EPA mandated excessively lean mixture. There are also a few ECU default threads that will be eliminated because the engine won't reach the trigger temps.
I will post pics of this installation tomorrow.

Taking 2 bikes to Bonneville ?
What kind of power/torque improvement do you expect with the Stage 1 upgrade? And, is there a Stage 2, Stage 3 etc.

The total stage 1 upgrade which is SE mufflers, high flow aircleaner and ECU remap is 12% HP and 7% TQ increase. That equals about 80 RWHP and 100 ft lbs of torque.
Stage 2 includes ported heads, cams, Supertrapp muffler, race tuner or power commander and a big bore kit which gets you to a little over 100 RWHP
Stage 3 takes it further with CNC ported heads, special grind cam, high comp pistons, Thunderheader and monster 44/45 mm carb and puts out around 128 RWHP. The EFI can remain with extensive re-mapping and throttle body modification if wanted.

Today will be another shop day. We woke up to solid ice covering everything! The roads, driveway and my truck are all encased. I'm not going anywhere...

This is a pic of the WB O2 sensor, LC-1 controller, OEM O2 sensor adapter cable, fused power tap and calibration button with the status LED. This has been programmed with the software and serial cable that comes with it. Two of these will be installed on the bike.

All the upgrades, including the O2 sensors and controllers are complete. The bike starts, idles and throttles just fine. As soon as the ice melts, I will give you a ride report.

All of the WBO2 controllers are tucked away out of sight. The front controller is mounted inside the bottom right frame rail and the rear controller is inside the right side cover with the controller re-cal buttons and status LEDs. Some power, ground wires and serial cables are tucked away and that's it!
