Does anyone else find this a bit humorous? I was checking on a link Dallara posted for Honda. On the site they had the weather for the area.

MAKUHARI, Japan
Clear. Nippy.

Perhaps it's just me,

When I did it, it all came up with Japanese print, which, clearly, I could not understand. No clicks to get to that sound file.

Jeff,
There is a spot to click on for the English version. At least it was there when I looked.

I think that's hilarious. Nippy. "Japan" in Japanese is pronounced "nihhon", which was transliterated a hundred years or so ago as "nippon", which is where the term "nip" came from. It was used very derogatorily in and after WWII, but those were the good old days when you could speak ill of an enemy that had ruthlessly attacked you and killed innocent people on your home turf.

My how times have changed. In those days, we threw innocent Japanese civilians in California into detention camps, essentially prisons. Now, we take known terrorists, put them into military prison, and we are castigated by the world for not letting them out to fly more airplanes into buildings. We (the West) can't even print a cartoon depicting their religious figure in a negative light without having them set Western embassies on fire.

That's my morning rant. I better go see if the coffee is ready...

Jeff (Bones)...

It's NOT a sound file.

It's a Flash Movie file. Look right in the middle of the page. You will see what looks two pictures - a vintage Honda GP bike being pushed and another one with a Honda GP car in the pits. Just put your mouse pointer over the pic of the bike and click...

A little MOVIE will start in about 15 seconds that shows a vintage Honda 50cc RC-116 twin on a partial lap of Motegi during a recent Honda anniversary party there followed by some wonderful footage of the Honda RC-166 250cc Six running around Motegi... There is also a tiny bit of footage at the end of a more modern two-stroke NSR-250 GP twin, but it just sounds like... well, a modern 350cc two-stroke twin...

Please try it again - it's worth it, I promise you!

Cheers!
