Or Agostini, Reed, Ivey, etc. ?
Hondas, MV Augustas, Yamahas...Oh my !

My friend Elizabeth (Hailwood's former girlfriend) sent these to us.
Harry is her pet rabbit...

The last two are in Italian.
The last covers his switch to cars.

Dave,

As you may recall, I had a number of opportunities to see "Mike the Bike" ride. I was shooting pictures for a small news service, mostly covering motorcycle and auto stuff. I started with them in '61 and that's when I first saw Mike riding for Honda, a 4 cylinder 250 I believe. As I recall, the next year he was with MV Agusta, just winning one GP race after the other.

I also saw him race at Isle of Mann a couple of times; I think it was '62 and '63. I even had a chance to do a short interview with him. :)

I never saw him after he left bikes and went to auto racing. In any case, the motor world is a bit sadder since he left us. :icon_cry:

You betcha!

His 1978 comeback ride has to be the greatest ride ever. To put it in context, if Rossi retires at the end of 2009 imagine him returning to racing in 2020 - and winning first time out!

Frank is right (as he so often is..) our world is a poorer place without SMBH.
