After being successful posting my Chicken Shop Ride vid on YouTube I've done another.
Another test...It's about 5 minutes long...and it's a nice piece of road not far from where I live.
It's a downhill ride from Sassafras to The Basin....I had the camera mounted on my beak and stuck something over the mic to help stop the wind noise.
Chick here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVArhpvUPUM ..Sorry about the bad sound and the annoying message in the center of the screen.
For some reason the quality is crap..The original is good..It must be the way I converted it..Next time should be better.

Lovely little road, ideal for the Roadster. This is going to add a whole new dimension to your ride reports!
Si.
Deej - I quite enjoyed your video. A nice way to spend a winter's day (wot!? No snow?). I didn't think the sound was too bad. In fact, I think we got a good taste (listen?) of what your bike sounds like with its modified exhaust system. Would be neat if you could mike yourself up and give us a running commentary. I can just imagine your Australian accent with the occasional "Crikey, look at the size of that wallaby in the billabong!" thrown in.
I thought the road was quite interesting. A nice combo of lefts and rights with the occasional long tangent thrown in for measure. The one thing that I thought was different from your first vid though was the angle of the camera. On the first one it seemed like a riders view of the road. In this vid I thought the angle of the camera was a little higher, so I had the impression I was riding while looking at the trees.
Which leads to the question of how you mount the camera to your beak...well, the bike's beak. Perhaps a couple of snaps of your mounting technique (camera!) are in order. I would be interested in where all the bits fit. I am inspired to invest in some vid equip to join the 21st century.
Well done!

Yeah, yeah. Now I remember, I'll have to learn to drive on the left side of the road when I come to Oz. This'll be a good practice video to remind me. Now, where's the video of the dinner?

DJ, nice!
I'm with Elsie, we are still looking forward to visiting down unda and going on the left side will be too weird. I'm afraid given the chance, I'll snap right faster than a neocon Limberger listener.:pot: I'll only do it once, after the wife beats me profusely about the head and shoulders for scaring the bejezzers out of her, I will have learned my lesson.
I'm thinking in another couple of months we'll resurrect the Visit Australia thread.

DJ that’s awesome… :eusa_clap:
Some day I would like to make a video of riding up Arizona's Hwy 60 through Salt River Canyon and Hwy 89 through the Prescott National Forest. :045:
Thanks again, Very Nice… :thumb:

Hello DJ.
I enjoyed that but...
The road was only just in view.
The bush track was too much of the same scenery. I liked the first video better...
Can you position the camera to show some instruments such as rev counter and speedo..
and can you get me a coffee while you're at it?
Sorry...
You're going to tell me to pull my head in aren't you?
Cheers,
JQ.
