Stop for 'stolen' car leads to drug charges

MANCHESTER – A word of advice: If you report your car stolen and later find it, let police know. The consequences of not doing so could be unpleasant.
A local man neglected to tell police he found his Audi, which he reported stolen July 15. As a result, Jonathan Beaudoin was pulled over at Granite and Elm streets about 8 p.m. Thursday night by police who thought they were stopping a stolen car.
While police were sorting out information about the car's status, officers speaking with two passengers allegedly smelled marijuana. As a result of the investigation, the car's owner and his two passengers were arrested on drug charges.
