Will - I hope this birthday finds you in a room full of mirrors, with a smile on your face and a fast motorcycle near the door. Happy birthday!

Will,
I seem to recall that you didn't celebrate birthdays anymore - something about there not being numbers that high. Oh well, I guess I'm wrong again. Damn, that makes two times I've been wrong. I can't seem to recall what the other time was.
In any case, have a good one and hope to see you in Daytona.

So, are you like, older than me now?
I said OLDER, not uglier. I know the answer to that one.
Peace be with you, my brother.

Thanks guys. I just arrived home on the coast after a post race ordeal with California Sunday traffic. I stayed with my boys in Santa Rosa last night, and they BBQ'd me some damned fine beef, and we watched high def tigers hunting on Nat'l Geog channel while the Beatles played on stupid expensive stereo components and we sipped rum concoctions. We laughed our asses off! Always do. Stupid stuff is funny.
This a.m. I rode north through the vineyards, along the "I Can't Believe This Is Free" Skaggs Springs Rd to the coast, with not a car on MY ROAD. Life can't get any better than this.
A nice part of my life are the friends I've made here thanks to Dave and Dean.
Many thanks and I'll have stuff to report soon. The GP experience, on top of all the past times, was extraordinary. I was up close and personal. I even got to talk with a hero of mine, Mick Doohan. When you've been around as long as I've been priviledged to be, you focus on what interests you and pass by the rest. The new generation of sport riders are dealing with a different world out there than the one in which you and I were reared (that has a special meaning to Dave...).
There are better lenses than mine out there, so I focused on my passion, the people. Team members, old racers, and the girls. Always the girls. Never say die. More later.
Thanks again for the very well received wishes.

The B'day number must not be THAT large WW, just large enough to have your priorities straight.
Here's to many more.

Happy Birthday Will...You lucky bugger.
Going to Laguna..Meeting Mick Doohan...You'd better slow down...I think you are putting too much stress on your old ticker.
