Has anyone tried Continental Contiforce tyres on an oilhead?

I got myself an R1100RS and the Michelin Mac 100's are super in the dry but If I may say not awe inspiring in damp conditions and as they're approaching the end of their usabilty I'm on a search for new rubber

Having spent my available shekels, They must be reasonably good tyres and inspire some confidence across the range of uses

I've spotted these conti's at about £140 per pair delivered

So any verdicts?????????? Not about whats better or that sort of thing?

More has anyone tried them?

I haven't tried the Contiforce on a beemer but I did use them with very good effect on the Triumph Sprint I had before I bought my 850R.

They suited the Sprint very well, were good in the rain and lasted well.

I currently have Conti "Road Attacks" on the beemer and can vouch for them 100%. They have lasted twice as long as the OE Bridgestones and have been superb in the rain. They are probably a little more expensive than the "forces" though.

Having said that I have a set of the latest Michelin Pilot Road "2"'s on order. It's not that I have been in any way unhappy with the Conti's but I find it pays not to become too blinkered in these things, you can end up using "brand X" simply through habit and miss out on some real advances that way. The PR2's are costing me £197 (Ouch!).

I doubt that you'll regret trying the Conti's, their tyres have served me very, very well over the years.

Cheers, Si.

+1 on the Conti Road Attacks.
I have them on the Speed Triple and they are equal in every way to the Michelin Pilot Powers that came on it...except the Contis are lasting twice as long!

I have the Conti Road Attacks on my ST and am extremely impressed. On my R1150R I found that the Pilot Roads were the best, the Road Attacks are superior, but my next set will be the Pilot Road "2". According to a current extensive test of the latest M/C tires (Tyres), the PR2's are superior to everything out there, re. tire life, handling and traction both wet and dry.

Amazing how great tires are these days, & they keep getting better!

Ditto. I'm spooning on another rear Pilot Road tomorrow.

I liked the Road Attacks, too. However, rear Conti tire life was not so good for me - 3,463 miles compared to around 5k miles out of rear Pilot Roads, which is a little less than I did with the Avons and about the same as the Z6's. Pilot Roads feel better to me than either of these. The Conti's are right up there with the Michelins for feel.

Yeah, buddy. I remember the old Exedras and shudder.
