Ah to be young again..or at least skinny and have hair..and the R90S. 1973+ was a very good time.

I wonder for how many of us a BMW was our first serious "affair"?

Love the sissie bar on the Kawi Triple in the background!
And those were the "good old days"?
But the Beemer looks fine and your black leathers must have gotten the ladies "all Sara Lee"!

"quote" Peter Egan "Cycleworld"
Writing on the motorcycles we can't forget and why we keep comming back to them,

"Triumph Twins, of both sixties and current vintage, I've owned six of these over the past 40 years, and bought one back twice. To my eyes, at least, they remain the bedrock of perfect proportion, style and size"

Well said Peter, it go's to show "Great Minds" think alike!!! Den

The scooter pic was outside my quarters (BOQ) at Mather AFB, CA. Word got out that my suite mate and I had a handle on the good roads in the area and that we could turn a wrench--hell I never saw a bad road in that neck of the woods. Seemed like a new bike showed up outside our doors every week. Some Saturday mornings, we would walk out of our rooms to ride and there would be a dozen guys out there wanting to go.

The leathers were Bates. Got those after 'discovering' how little protection jeans provide. Can't remember if those leathers ever contributed to my sex life (in the mid-70's, Northern CA girls did not need much stimuli), but they sure saved my bacon once.

If I remember correctly, Kent cut a quiet a dashing figure back in the 70's.

The Firebird Scrambler pic is excellent, one of those pictures that deserves to be scanned at hi res and restored to full glory and coolness so someday the great-great grandkinds can see what cool dude great-great grampa was.

Here's a couple of pictures I stumbled across while tidying up the other day...brings back memories.

San Francisco Fall '95 - Trip from LA on HWY 1 to SF...my first real big road trip.

I'm here on the right with the first real bike I ever owned...1992(?) GSXR 750 with the lovely blk/silv/pur tiger stripes, puke. I never really loved this bike, but it was what I had and could afford.

My tank went kaput about a week before and I borrowed this blue/wht one from a local racer, Robert Marsh...later to be convicted in a stolen bike ring...doh!

Three of the four on the trip (me, center). Posing on HWY 1. Amazing views on that road. Never hit me that this was one of the primo roads in the US I would ride.

More stories from this trip than I have hours in the day to tell. Good times.
...Oh, and don't ask about the hair

I'm guessing this picture was taken ~ late 1997 or early '98.
Probably my favorite bike I ever owned...1996 ZX-750R. Pig-solid.
I loved this bike.
Bought new and owned until 2002.

Behind is my buddies 1995 CBR900RR...lovely bike.
Also, to the left is my 1997 KX250....mean bastard....Threw me on the ground numerous times.

Here is my first love. I actually had to leave home at 17 to be able to buy it. My parents wouldn't let me have a motorcycle and live at their house. Something about excessive sex, drugs and rock and roll. You know...they were right! Best decision I ever made!!!
