Which size adaptors are needed for the R1150R - or are they?

Acacia,
My TwinMax came with an adapter (essentially a reduced diameter tube) that fit on my 04 R1150R. Just attach the adapter, plug in the 9 volt battery and you're good to go.

Tks Taos..
I am buying it from a dealer that does not know BMW's and I am at work - the size of that adapter is needed.

Brian, I don't imagine you'll need adaptors. A lot of machines have threaded holes in the inlet manifolds (blanked off by screws when not in use) to allow an adaptor to be screwed in for the purpose of balancing the carbs/throttle bodies.
The rubber hoses from whatever balancing device you choose then fit over the adaptors.
The 1100/1150R has short stubs built into the manifolds (blanked off by rubber caps when not in use). The hoses should slip straight over these without any additional adaptors.
Hope this helps.
Simon.

Tks Simon.
I am hoping that the diameters of their standard pipes are compatable with those tubes. I might have to jury rig something if not. Since I can/could have added adapters to the order -I would have done so - they have probably shipped the unit now.
I have decided to retire my $1 yard rule stick and transmission fluid manometer. I want now to be able to get that extra fine balance at speed/under load.

Once again, (because I think my previous post may have confused you) NO ADAPTER IS NEEDED. What comes with the TwinMax fits the R.

Tao - it did confuse me - the part about a yours came with a 'reduced diameter tube'.
Since I bought it from a dealer that does not know BMW's - he could not tell me if or what adapters were needed. Will jury rig something if it does not fit whatever their 'standard diameter tube' is.
