Over at Killboy (http://bp1.blogger.com/_LxZ4Mi3rR3Q/RjgZJpB50BI/AAAAAAAAAu8/eKClrJ01rrU/s1600-h/img_3434.jpg), the Deal's Gap photo site, is an amazing and wonderful picture. I'd like to shake the Gold Wing rider's hand some day.

The determination some people show is quite humbling.
Also, check out the design/engineering that's gone into those outrigger wheels..

Now I'd take that photo for one of those "motivational" posters that spring up at my office.
Beats the hell out of those cheesy ones like the rowing scull for teamwork.
And he ain't just puttin' along. I see hard parts about to drag....whatta guy!

I'll bet his personal philosophy is sumpin' like:
"OK, life, is THAT all you got!"

Impressive. Be great to read his story.
Notice the wheels on the chair? Very trick.

Just when you think you are pretty switched on.... along comes a guy with an attitude to kill for..
I'll show this pic to my niece who is disabled by MS. She will get a kick out of this.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,

I did a bit of poking around and it appears that the "landing gear" system is made by these folks: Safety Features, Inc. (http://www.safetyfeatures.com/) No idea yet on who the Gold Wing rider is though.
The AMA has a page of links and info (http://www.ama-cycle.org/roadride/DISBresourcelistings.asp) for disabled riders also.
We all pick up our share of aches, pains, and damages as we age and folks like the Gold Wing guy are a reminder to stop whining and get out and ride. :webers: Sometimes I need that reminder. :021:

Outstanding Attitude!
Bet ya He's a helluva nice guy as well. Seems people that overcome a lot of adversity don't have time to not be nice. At least that's the way it seems to me.
